Who's Ready for a Wine Tour?

by www-searchkelownaproperties-com

The beautiful Okanagan is known for many things, one of the top being its many wineries and wine tours. Over the recent years, many wineries evolved to entertain the ever-growing world of adventure and wine tasting, and they have come up with some very fascinating tours to suit your sense of adventure. Whether you want to relax or get your adrenaline pumping, the Okanagan has it all. Here is a list of unique wine tours the Okanagan has to offer:

1) Helicopter Wine Tours! You heard that right! There are a few companies located right here in the Okanagan Valley that offer once-in-a-lifetime Helicopter Wine Tours. There are multiple wine tour packages available ranging from a couple of hours to full-day excursions; so whether you are planning a proposal, celebrating an event, or want to check helicopter rides off your bucket list, this is one ride you’ll never forget! What better than to end a lovely day by taking in the view from the top of the world while having a picnic with your favourite people!
2) Next up for our adrenaline seekers out there: Ziplines and Wines! The Oyama Zipline Adventure Park offers two packages for thrill-seeking wine lovers, or beer if that’s your preference! Choose between a 2km zipline course and wine tour or an adventure obstacle course and wine tour, both include a lunch reservation at the local eatery, 2.5 hours on the course of your choice, and tastings at four wineries/distilleries. Grab a few of your pals (in your bubble, of course!) and get soaring!
3) Want to get your exercise in and enjoy some of the finest grapes around? Check out Wine Country Half Marathon! They will be holding an in-person, as well as online for those who can’t travel, event in June 2021 that will include a 5km, 10km, and half marathon. There are limited in-person spots, and whether you’re joining from home or attending in person, you will still receive a t-shirt, finisher medal, and passport that includes a list of wineries, cideries, and breweries providing complimentary tastings for the attendants in lieu of the post-race party.
4) Spend a relaxing day on the lake with one of our local boat wine tours, or change it up and try the Stand-up Paddleboard tour. This is another one that has a handful of different options, and all of them are awesome! Most of these tours are full-day excursions that include a lunch break at one of the wineries or local eateries and complimentary chilled water. You can expect to spend a minimum of a couple of hours on the lake, so make sure you dress for the weather and bring sunscreen!
5) For our final tour, we’re changing seasons a bit here and include winter wine tours. Because sipping great wine shouldn’t just be reserved for summertime, and mixing wine with the many winter activities that the Okanagan has to offer is one of the best ways to beat the winter blues. There are Big White and Silver Star tour packages available that include a tour of 5 wineries and a bite to eat from a local restaurant, as well as various packages from the local wineries. Taste some of the world’s best ice wines and take in the gorgeous winter wonderland while staying cozy inside.
